MCFOA Newsletter, Volume 1, Number 1, April 11, 2005
Our first goal is to help you get to know us a little better, and our second goal is to cover some of the more common situations we will likely face this year. To the first of these goals, we have a web site, www.mcfoa.us, which contains all sorts of information and links to other related sites. We update information on our site fairly regularly. We invite you to visit the site as often as you like.
Among other features of our site is a game reporting capability. We hope you will use the game report form early and often. Importantly, we also post all our contracted games to our site. If at any time after the end of June, you visit the site and do not find any of your Varsity games correctly posted, we need to hear from you right away. You can contact our Secretary, Jack Henderson, about any concerns you may have. Contracted games are Jack’s province to manage. Please let him know of any problems you find.
Our second goal, covering common game-day situations, is really the focus of the next six editions of the newsletter. At the regular season’s end, we’ll put out the eighth and final edition for 2005. If you like this series of newsletters and find them useful to you, we’ll pick it up again about this same time in 2006. I’m going to make an effort to keep the newsletters short and to the point, even though there is lots of ground to cover.
We really hope you’ll enjoy this new service provided by MCFOA and that you’ll find it useful to you in running your program. We’re jointly responsible for providing a good game-day experience for each team, their fans and the wider school community. We want this series of newsletters to help us both do well in meeting that responsibility.
Here’s a preview of what will be in future editions of the MCFOA Newsletter and the approximate dates we’ll be publishing them:
